A marvel of sweetness :)
- 2 kg plums (weighed without seeds)
- 1.5-2 kg of sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Preparation time: less than 60 minutes
RECIPE PREPARATION Plum jam:
Plums washed and peeled are placed in a large pot and then put on the stove over low heat, stirring occasionally so that they do not stick. (I boiled them for about 45 minutes because they were a little stronger).
I wanted a finer jam so I transferred the fruits to a blender and pureed them.
I put the fruit on the fire again and at this point I added lemon juice and sugar.
I left the jam on low heat, stirring periodically for another 40 minutes (during which time I removed the foam a few times)
I put the jam in the jars (completely dry), I screwed the lids well and left them covered with a towel / thick blanket until the next day.
The amount of sugar is depending on how sweet the plums are or how sweet you like the jam to be (I like it sweeter so I put 2 kg).
After it was ready I added 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
